Guitar Songs AU takes a radically different approach to learning guitar than the other courses we reviewed. In fact, it’s not really a course at all.  Instead, it simply shows you how to play any of the fifty well-known songs from their list.  It does this with what is quite literally a “put one finger here, then another finger here, then another here” kind of teaching.  You won’t really understand why you’re doing it, but you will learn to play several songs rather quickly.

Quantity:  The website gives you step-by-step directions for playing fifty songs.

Quality:  The website promises to teach you the “lazy way” to start playing the songs on their list, which is precisely what they deliver.  No more, no less.

Negatives:  There really isn’t any instruction on the basics or essentials of what it takes to play the guitar, especially if you want to play something that’s not on the list.

Bottom Line:  This product may be just right for you if you just want a shortcut for learning a several songs you can play for friends and family.

Buyer’s Tip:  If you fill out the information in the pop-up window that appears when you first go to the site, you can get seven songs for free.  Definitely try them out before you decide whether to buy.
