"Mr. Ron's
Music" provides a series of piano instruction products that
range from DVDs to downloadable eBooks. The first DVD is
titled "Play Piano Like a Pro!" and is available with an
optional eBook supplement.
Quantity:
If you were to
purchase each instructional product in Mr. Ron's piano series,
you would have plenty of content to keep you busy for some time.
Buying all of them could get quite expensive (the first DVD
alone costs $149), but you will find plenty of content.
Quality:
Our quality
rating is mixed. From an educational standpoint, the
instruction quality is solid. Mr. Ron is a knowledgeable
instructor and his lessons are good. The production
quality, however, is rather poor. The video has an ameteur
feel to it and lacks the on-screen music and graphics are so
helpful when learning.
Service:
Five stars for
service! Mr. Ron offers his customers personal guidance by
phone and often does free teleseminars for his students.
We consider this a huge plus.
Online Support:
Although
there is not an online student support site, Mr. Ron does
provide personal support by phone, which may be even better.
Negatives:
The most obvious downside to this
course is the price. It is difficult to justify a $149
price tag for a single beginner DVD, or $197 for that same DVD
with a supplemental eBook. Other products we've reviewed
offer a much greater value.
Bottom Line:
If price isn't much of an issue for you, Mr. Ron's products may
be worth purchasing simply for the free phone support.
